Why Are We Asking for Your Support?

Little known fact, Allswell’s core 4 team members worked together for the first time during King’s Players’ production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee in January of 2016. We didn’t know it back then, but the pollen must’ve been extra strong to attract us busy bees to each other and something beautiful would soon blossom.

We have really taken the 5 Values we’ve built Allswell upon to heart. We recognize these values are ongoing efforts and we’re so glad to align on these as our guides for everything we do with the people we hold close. We’re Inclusive about the environment and opportunities we foster within our company. We strive to maintain a Safe space where performers feel free to express and portray their characters in a way the stories and direction require. We continue to be Innovative in the ways we create and develop our productions. We Foster and support the village that we want to keep. And finally, we’re Receptive to feedback and always looking to learn and improve. As Regine always says, if you build it, they will come. We are forever grateful for the relationships we’ve built with our casts, crews, and bands who’ve helped us bring these shows to audiences over the last 7 years.

We are asking for help for our final production, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, coming to Auburn Stage from May 22-31, 2025. Below, you will find several avenues and options to directly support our show. Shows like Spelling Bee can cost over $25,000; we have the exciting opportunity to provide ASL Interpretation to one of our performances, this expense would be over $1,000; wireless microphones for the cast cost nearly $2,000; Rights for the production mount to over $5,000; rental fees for the theatre easily clear $9,000; and we haven’t even talked about the band, set, costumes, or props yet. In order to keep ticket costs accessible for all audience members, we are looking for financial support to offset those costs and help bring these characters and their stories to life.
